All Sales Are Final
Standard Bullion does not accept returns or exchanges. When you place an order, the price is locked against the live precious metals market at that moment — we buy the metal to fill your order at that price. Accepting a return days later, after the market has moved, would mean absorbing a loss that has nothing to do with the product you received. This is standard across the bullion industry, and it is the reason our premiums can stay as low as they are.
What that does not mean is that you are stuck. There is always a bid.
You can always sell it back to us
We buy gold, silver, platinum and palladium from customers every business day. If you decide you no longer want what you bought — the day after it arrives or five years later — you can sell it back to us at our current bid price. Start on the sell to us page, where you will get a quote before you ship anything.
Be clear about what this is: it is a new transaction at that day's market, not a refund. Metal prices move, so the amount you receive may be more or less than you originally paid. You will see the figure before you commit to it.
If something is wrong with your shipment
This is not a return, and it is not covered by the policy above. Every shipment is fully insured in transit, and we will make it right if any of the following happens:
- The package arrives damaged, opened or tampered with
- The contents do not match what you ordered
- Something is missing from the order
- The package never arrives
Contact us within three (3) business days of delivery — or of the expected delivery date if the package has not turned up. Keep all packaging and do not discard anything until the claim is settled; insurance claims depend on it. Depending on the circumstances we will replace the item, ship what was missing, or refund you in full.
Deliveries require a signature. Please inspect the package before signing where you can, and refuse delivery outright if it appears damaged or has been opened.
Cancelling an order
Because the price is locked and the metal is bought when you order, an order cannot simply be withdrawn. If an order is cancelled — by you, or by us because payment did not arrive in time — our market loss policy applies: you are responsible for any decline in the market between the order and the cancellation, plus a $95 cancellation fee. If the market has moved in your favour, the difference is not payable to you. The full terms are in our terms and conditions.
Questions before you buy
We would rather answer a question than have you order the wrong thing. If you are unsure whether a product is what you want, ask us first — get in touch and we will tell you straight.
This policy applies to purchases from Standard Bullion LLC and forms part of our terms and conditions. Nothing here affects rights you have under applicable law that cannot be waived.
